Our founder Edwin Henry Booth had one simple aim, to sell the best food and drink available, in attractive stores, staffed with first class assistants. Since 1847, we have worked closely with local suppliers from the counties we call home: Lancashire, Cheshire, Cumbria and Yorkshire – Booths Country.

From our friends at Lambs Flowers in Spalding, Lincolnshire each flower is handpicked and hand-tied into an elegant array of flowers and foliage to make the perfect gift for any occasion.
Just like Booths, Lambs Flowers put passion into everything that they do and grow. With over 40 years in the plant and flower growing business, they have perfected their range and have a wide selection of delightful British flowers available to order. Placing high importance on sustainability; Biomass heating systems and recycled rainwater are used to keep the plants warm in winter and well-watered throughout the year.
ABOUT LAMBS FLOWERS
Lambs Flowers are expert British flower growers based in the heart of Lincolnshire Fens specialising in growing and sourcing seasonal British flowers. They are a small dedicated team with over 40 years’ growing experience.
They know the provenance of every stem used, any flowers
which are not home grown are sourced from other high quality local indoor and
outdoor flower producers, so they have only travelled few miles down the road.
Many of the flowers they use are grown outdoors exposed
growing as nature intended them to do so making them perfectly imperfect.
Lambs flowers are devoted to ensuring your flower delivery is as fresh as it
possibly can be.
Out of the British season and during peak events they may
source from ethical farms and growers outside the UK.
They pride themselves on all of their working practices, from growing standards to caring for the environment, keeping their carbon footprint as low as it possibly can be. Their stringent
conservation and management policy has earnt them LEAF mark accreditation
All of their tulips are grown hydroponically, meaning no peat is used – just water! This eliminates any use of pesticides, helping to preserve the all-important peat bogs. It is a lot cleaner and much easier to crop. All of their flowers are irrigated using recycled rainwater which has been harvested from roof gutters and stored in on-site reservoirs.
When the flowers need warmth to grow they use a Biomass heating system, so they are not burning any fossil fuels or producing any harmful emissions. The Biomass uses recycled wood i.e. end of life pallets and fruit packaging. When they need to keep the flowers cool, they have solar panels to assist with their electricity usage.
The flowers grown in glasshouses even have their own blinds known as Thermal Screening to keep the heat in. When the sun starts getting stronger, the outside of the glass is whitewashed to keep the heat out and to keep the flowers cool, they really are very demanding!
The team at Lambs Flowers believe that "flowers can speak a thousand words" therefore think that their bouquets should be about the flowers not the packaging. They use 100% recycled packaging on all their bouquets, the flowers are presented and wrapped simply in paper, from their greenhouse to your home!
